Birds like to nibble - and they won't be able to distinguish between beneficial greenstuff and a potentially harmful houseplant.
Keep houseplants out of reach. As lists of known poisonous plants are many and varied I find it best to assume that all houseplants are potentially dangerous.
Never leave a loose bird unattended in a room with houseplants and make sure cages are placed well out of reach. It is always better to be safe than sorry.

Beware of cacti! I once had a rainbow lorikeet land on a large spined cacti. Very painful!
